Membership Committee

The goals of the Membership Committee are to:
  • Maintain and increase the Value Added features for current members.
  • To increase the numbers of members to 200 by the March 2008 membership meeting.
  • To have the number of renewing members be within acceptable proximity to the number of members on Dec 31.
Tasks & considerations of the Membership Committee
  • Membership Attractions - Promote at meeting, within emails & on the web site.
  • Set the "basic" joining and renewing fees at 2,000 Baht.
  • Types of members - Personal membership which is transferable to company or family member. Student membership at special rate (possibly sponsored by prospective employers).
  • Transparency - Publicize annual treasurers report, meeting minutes, AGM.
  • Vision:
  • Gender: Male Heavy - Definitely need more females as this will also attract higher attendance.
  • Ethnicity: Foreigner Heavy - We all need to encourage more Thai membership.
  • Office - When budget allows.
  • IBAP Affiliates - Can affiliate with other associations. Form local IBAP equivalents in Bangkok, Koh Samui, Pattaya, The rest of the world (Rotary started from humble beginnings).
  • Developing membership through recruiting the membership to assist with "their" association. (Nigel)
  • Personally respond to all people opting into our mailing list
  • Personally deal with all returned emails from our mailings
  • Contact all members that have not renewed by the week before our December meeting
  • Create pridefull nametags
  • Issue membership cards
